We hear it on almost a daily basis. President Obama assuring us that the task at hand is arduous. And that making change, will be very, very hard. Change, will require a sacrifice from all of us.

No more 0 interest credit cards. Too hard to come by.

No more large S.U.V's. too hard to keep fuel in, Too hard to justify with the neighbors.

No more executive bonuses. too hard to justify in this down economy.

No more stated income loans for the self employed. Too hard to convince the public, that this type of loan is O.K. for the credit worthy.

No more derivative trading. To hard for companies like A.I.G. to underwrite. Too hard.

Now that over half of the TARP fund has been lent to the nations largest banks, Oh yea, I know, they're paying it back. The Treasury department with the blessing of President Obama , has stated, You guessed it, it is way TOO HARD to determine where the funds have been applied.

Has the TARP, been effective at turning the tide of the financial sector fiasco? TOO HARD to tell.

When reviewing the progress of President Obama's pet housing program, The Home Owner Stability Act, we find once again, that "TOO HARD", has entered into the equation.

It turns out that the majority of those applying for the bailout, claim that it is TOO HARD to qualify for. The Government figures indicate that less than 60,000 have applied for a program intended for 9 million.

Recently, the President decided to turn his attention to national universal health care. An issue near and dear to most. And a big part of Obama's campaign promise train.

Last week, we were assured once again by the Obama team, that the health care issue was front and center on the Presidents agenda. Mr. Obama demanded that Congress place a health bill on his desk no latter than November.

Many in Congress protested, stating that it would be TOO HARD to meet that deadline.

Unreasonable , outrageous. Not enough time to iron out a proposal. Apparently two decades had not been long enough to review the possibilities.

During President Obama's speech before the A.M.A. on Monday, jeers and boos were heard in the audience, as the President addressed the crowd.

I would expect nothing less from a room full of Doctors. Let's face it, it is probably way TOO HARD for some of the smartest men and women on the planet to modify the existing health industry. WAY TOO HARD..

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Every time the POTUS speaks, he assures us that change is going to be hard. I though it already was. That sacrifice will be required of all. I thought we already were.

I don't believe it has to be this tough Mr. President. What do you think?

Dear Max,

Is it Obama's fault that people are greedy that they aren't taking care of what they need first but going for what is luxury for them? I think as a nation we are our first and up most enemy, we've become a nation of 'if my neighbor has it, i have to have better than what he/she has), and that I'm better because..... ( you can fill in the blanks). We never blame ourselves with the choices we make, yet we are very ready to blame someone else. We complain, yet we never do anything about it except talk and b.. ch about it.

You are a dear friend for me and I appreciate you and your article. And I hope my words do not offend you.

Welcome RoxyFL. No offence taken.

While I will agree with you, that many have been hogs at the feed pen in the past, I must further say that millions are being effected by Federal policy, that have not been over indulging .

Financial sector, housing, Health and welfare . Etc,Etc.

President Obama is having a tough time cleaning up behind past administrations. I wish him best of luck.

Unfortunately, he promissed a bit more than can be delivered by his office, while running for the presidency. Thanks RoxyFL. Back at you.

I thought that was pretty much the norm for campaign time, promises, promises, promises. Unfortunately, there is no way to make a candidate fulfill his promises once elected. That's why voters should make their decisions based on past accomplishments, not what a candidate says he/she will do. If that had been done back last November, I believe we would have a different person in Washington.

I don't like that term...too hard. Very simplistic. It might be a good idea to remember he is the bankers', brokers' and insurance industry's President as well. The decisions he makes are with the collective interests of the country in mind.

I am not at all surprised at the pace of progress, or the limits of Executive Branch reach.

It is not the Executive Branch's reach; President Obama is reaching-very high, and I love him for it. It is the LEGISLATIVE, and let me say it again, the LEGISLATIVE BRANCH, that is "Slugging and Dragging", "Hemming and Haughing" all the way to the bank. And for doing NOTHING. None of them.

It is NOT the President's lack of Execution that is the problem: it is the follow-up, or lack therefore, that is stupid and unacceptable, to me that is!

        Agreed.

It is the responsibility of congress to produce legislation. It is the President's job to execute the law. That's what I meant by limits.

The Democratic Party has not stepped up. I hear no ideas, just criticism. Everybody else is just watching.

If teabagging can get national coverage, imagine what a few good ideas could do?

It is the Republicans in Congress who have not stepped up either. Don't leave their "no votes" as any alternative "legislation" out of the equation. The Republicans have this responsibility to produce legislation also, as I was taught in Civics class.

        Ray Max,

This under-qualified junior senator from Illinois is punching well above his weight. I imagine he was surprised to win the nomination----and then the big prize. Of course he's going to fail. He's got a long list of expensive goals, and he wants everything right now. Typical spoiled brat attitude. Everything appears to be too hard for him. Maybe one of those docs should advise him to slow down on the Cialis.

I beg to differ with you, carpetfriggindiem, that the President is "the under-qualified junior senator from Illinois.." He is a Harvard graduate, led his class review there, and continues to serve the people of the United States. What qualifications does he lack?

Or do you think that the moron, ex-prez george w. bush, with a C+average wherever he went to college, was the qualified one? If you agree with this premise, then, of course, you see why we are in the mess we are in and have no concerns; after all your man was the one who DID IT!

And what makes you think that "you imagine the President was surprised to win the nomination and -the big prize?" Apparently you have not read either of President Obama's books, because if so, you would know that he EXPECTED to WIN! And you would also know that he "knows" exactly what he is doing and plans to do.

Wise up. He is one of the most brilliant persons ever to be elected to be President of the United States if not the most, brilliant. Maybe that is part of the problem: Obama Haters are not accustomed to taking orders from an intelligent individual but from an idiot- and smile while they do it.

I used to think that all the OBAMA HATERS were racist and/or sufferers from Loss and Control (of privilege, power and feeling of superiority), but I now know that these Obama Haters are not only racists and losers, but are also JEALOUS of this Man!

I came to this realization after careful thought, nothing else can explain it. You Obama Haters must be miserable. Carry On!

Hello Carpe. A little harsh. But there is some truth to your comment. Today he's jumping on the financial sector. It will be interesting to see how far he gets with this one. Lot's of unfinished mandates. So much for the efficiency of multi tasking.

I cannot BELIEVE that it took this long for one of THEM to show up. That argument is getting OLD. Yes, Bush was president when some very bad decisions were made. The consequences were not realized until much later. A president that comes in to office facing the problems left by the previous administration, whose only solution is to "solve" the problem by spending trillions of dollars, is not solving the problem. He has BECOME the problem. I'll bet you weren't complaining while the market was soaring to unseen heights and the economy was booming!

First of all, I am not a Bush fan. Second, what do we know about Barack Hussein Obama's college record? He's had them sealed.

He is one of the most brilliant persons ever to be elected to be President of the United States if not the most, brilliant.

Yeah. Increasing the deficit by a factor of 4 was a brilliant move. So was loaning billions to auto makers---only to have them go bankrupt. I could go on and on, but won't waste my time.

My response about Being To Hard would be a slam so I let it go. Today, the senate hearings on this health care issue was on and I sat through a little while of it. All I can say is the document and tha amendments stacked on top of each other looked to be somewhere between 18 and 24 inches high. And to think it only took 2.5 pages prepared and or delived by King Henry to get a whopping 700 billion dollars from this same bunch and look how that turned out. WHow much damage do you think is buried in a stack of paper 18 to 24 inches high.
