As president Obama applauds last weeks Supreme Court ruling to uphold ‘Obama Care’
as constitutional; under the federal government’s right to impose tax upon the citizenry, the Republican leadership vowed to repeal H.R.3962 in its entirety.
In-fact presidential hopeful Mitt Romney has stated that if he is elected to the highest office in the land, his greatest priority will be to repeal the ‘Affordable Health Care Act For America,” and replace it with an affordable health care program that will work for all Americans; his own…
According to my research,( and it wasn’t difficult,) H.R.3962 was never enacted as written, and was in-fact revised several times in the House of Representatives, as well as the United States Senate. While the ‘act’ we see today may bare the same H.R.3962 moniker, it little resembles the original document as produced by the Obama administration in November 2009.
H.R.3962 today is titled the ‘preservation for access to care for Medicare beneficiaries and pension relief act;’ as produced through a bi-partisan committee of the United States Senate in 2011. Yes, the bill was actually drafted by members of both political parties.
What remains today of the genuine attempt by every administration since Clinton; to reign in a runaway industrialized insurance enabled medical machine; has been laid to waste by a congress that has opted to hold the American people hostage as pawns in a never-ending battle over long outdated ideologies that no longer serve the needs of the majority.
Once again, thanks to a fear driven ideology, promoted through the Republican dogma of ' best for markets,' 'free enterprise, freedom of choice, and service providers,' and the ever-present fairy tale of of socialized America under the Obama administration; 30 million United States citizens will remain without affordable access to quality, timely health care services.
The political debate will roll into yet another decade, as the industrialized medical machine milks $16 billion dollars per year; out of a U.S. economy that has yet to recover from the greatest recession since the great depression of the 1920's and 30's.
The intent of the Republican Party leaders in Congress is to repeal H.R. 3962; prior to the state compliance deadline of January 1 2014.
